makeup, bodylotion, perfume and hairspray can harm your jewellery. you should put it on after using your beautyproducts.

before doing any manual labor, including housework, please take off your jewellery to prevent it from getting damaged. Harsh cleaning agents can harm any kind of jewellery.

please take off your jewellery in swimming pools and spas, because chlorinated water and high air moisture can react with the metals and resin, causing colour changes and even structural damage.

contact sports and wearing jewellery do not match either because of the high risk of injury.

cleaning jewellery

to clean your pieces please use a jewellery polishing cloth without any chemical additionals.

please Do not use tissue or paper towels because it could cause scratches.

clean your jewellery regularly.

storing jewellery

please keep your jewellery in its original packaging or a velvet pouch in order to protect it from scratches and light exposure.

Especially the pieces partly consisting of coloured resin should be stored away from UV-radiation that discolours the resin.

do not store your jewellery in the bathroom because of humidity, which causes oxidants that discolour and tarnish jewellery.

also keep your pieces away from leather and some types of wood because they can harm the surface treatment of your jewellery due to containing certain acids.

in general jewellery with a surface treatment will change over time due to contact with sweat, cosmetics, clotihng, hard edges and chemical detergents.
especially bracelets and rings are exposed to heavy abrasion and will change in surface and structure, which is no defect but a usual sign of usage.

If it is necessary to get a piece repaired you can either contact a local jeweler you trust or us.

for renewing the surface treatment and repairs of your  jewellery please write us an email with the itemnumber of your piece, colour and a description of your request  mail@doojewellery.de
